Description: My new Ferrari SF90 Stradale at the Nürburgring, and it's every bit as fast as you'd think for a 1,000hp supercar! However, after the recent issues with the sound of my STO, let's start this one off for a lap under EV power, before we dial it all up! After getting my Lamborghini Huracan STO out for a first lap on the Green Hell, this time around it's the turn of my very recently collected Ferrari SF90 Stradale. In fact the car is so new, it's not actually even been home yet before completing some laps of the Nürburgring Nordschleife! However, first up, with full charge in the battery pack I'm curious to see how it fares attempting to get as far as possible around the lap under electric power as possible, and in doing so being a front-wheel drive Ferrari in the process. It turns out the expected 25km range runs out very quickly when you're pushing to the 141km/h (87mph) Vmax in the eD setting. All is not lost though, because as soon as the 4.0l TT V8 fires up, all 1,000hp are instantly available it's time for a crazy ride. Like all new Shmeemobiles, it's a rite of passage to head out onto this famous loop and during Touristenfahrten (Tourist Drives) as a public toll road with normal road rules during Easter Weekend, we have a great opportunity to enjoy it properly. This time around thankfully, no sound limits are being pushed, so it's all good to have a lot of fun.
